Title Goes Here: Day 325

Horizon by Robert Chapman

So my drawing time today ended up being a little more condensed than I thought it was going to be. Not that it’s a big deal or anything, it’s just going to take me another day or so to get this picture all finished up. That being said, I was still able to get a bunch of that ground finished up today. I still believe that I’m a day or two away from completion, however.

As I mentioned in a recent post, I noticed a bit of a connection between both my enjoyment of creating art, and my love of science. Discovery was the main theme that bridges that connection. There’s this video game for Playstation 4 coming at some point in the near future called No Man’s Sky. I’ve done some of my own No Man’s Sky artwork (Here and here, for example) in the past using some in-game screenshots, and I plan to make many more once the game is out and we can all mess around in that vast universe. There’s an even more prominent connection between my love of video games, science, and art when it comes to this game. And with a science fiction game like this; an entire universe filled with trillions and trillions of unique planets, technology, and wildlife, it should allow me an almost infinite number of subjects to paint.

That’s the idea anyways. I’m more than excited to get my hands on this game, which will surely be a ground breaking experience when it finally released to the public.
