Welcome back! There’s only 4 days remaining before I’ve completed my year long challenge. If the last week, the last month, and the entire year, went by super quick, these last 4 days should be a mere blink before they’re behind me and I’m already deep into some other brand new project.
If there’s only one take-away from all the artwork I’ve done over the past year, it’s that I can’t always be on my game – as the kid’s say – there will be days, just like today, where my artwork is pretty meh. I’m sure it used to be pretty frustrating for me, when you just can’t get something to look quite right. Right now however, I know that I’ll have better days. When it comes to my daily artwork, I’ve had better starts to new projects. I’ve also had a heck of a lot worse. Even though I may start over with this tomorrow, I’ve already got better ideas than I did when I started this one, so we’ll see how it goes tomorrow.
That all being said, there’s definitely more than one take-away from this year long project. I’ve met some awesome people along the way, as well! Before I started this project, I didn’t know a single artist, and thanks to social media, I’ve kept in contact with more than a few along the way. I think everyone’s heard the saying, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”. I’m not entirely sure I’m behind that 100%, but there’s something to be said about what kind of people you surround yourself with. I really want to get to know other artists, and find out how they got to where they’re at. Whether their successful or not, there’s always something to learn.
