Ringed Planet: Day 266

Planetscape by Robert Chapman

Hey there you lovely people. I tried my hand at creating a ringed planet today, and though for a first effort it’s quite decent, there’s something not quite right about it. I mean, when it comes to what little we know about what’s visually out there in the insanely vast cosmos, I guess anything is possible. I just have this feeling that the rings are too large, or too close to the planet. Anyways, I’m not close to done yet and that home star looks pretty pathetic right now without any lens flare effects.

I’m going to an art show today! I’m walking downtown with some family and friends to see what’s going on. Just something recently I found out is that the city I live in loves their art. They have shows right out on the street once every month, and bigger shows throughout the year. It’s kind of crazy how this just kind of came out of nowhere recently for me. How did I not know this?

Anyways, I was probably just not looking for it. This year I’m going to go to as much of these events as I can. Just to look around, at least. Maybe get a bit of a feel for what’s going on, what people price their art at, and what kind of people are doing it. Get the lay of the land, you know? I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself to focus too much on goal setting today. Again, I just want to go for a nice walk on a beautiful day and see what happens.

I hope everyone out there enjoys their Friday as much as I’m going to.
