Hope everyone’s having a fantastic weekend. Mine has been up and down. I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but I’m gong to anyways; my internet has been down all day. However, my niece visited me for a little while which brightened my spirits a bit. At the very least, she helped provide a welcome distraction from the tech issues I’m having. Also, I got an email from my service provided and so things are beginning to move along.
After my niece left, I decided to pack up my laptop and drawing tablet to head over to my mother’s apartment and steal some of her Internets. It’s been part of my daily routine to sit down, get comfortable, and prepare to draw, then put on some tunes using Internet radio (currently Spotify). Of course, with my net issues, that has been pretty difficult t do.
So, here I sit, away from home. Listening to my Spotify tunes with headphones. I have no idea if – when I return home – my Internet service will be restored. That’s just fine though. Frustrating? Yes. I’ll deal with it though. I may just have to find a new routine to try and get used to. Instead of online music, I have a pretty awesome music collection that I could listen to. It’s not exactly the style of music I like to listen to when I draw, as I tend to enjoy relaxing indie synth or chill electronica. Basically anything fairly upbeat, but not distracting.
Alright, today I worked on adding a lot of those angled books on the right there. And boy, did they ever give me trouble. I’m still not super satisfied with how they look, but for today at least, I’m quite satisfied considering how long it took me to figure out the angles. I also had to mess with the colors of those books a bit because they were standing out from the rest by quite a noticeable margin.
I’m still messing around with the wizard eyes! I’m just having a really hard time finding the right set of eyes. White or yellow? Glowing or not? Crooked or straight? Bah! He looks good right now. Perhaps I’ll leave it alone. What do you think? Does everything look well enough? I appreciate any tips and comments! Thank you 🙂
