I wonder if I could use this strange drawing technique to draw more actual objects? You know, like trees, and scenery. Space ships maybe? Actually, even though I’m not quite finished with this picture yet, I think I’m going to look up images that I could use to give that a try and see how it goes. Some of the objects in this image actually resemble things like buildings, aliens, and ships. I wasn’t actually trying to go for that from the start, but it kind of just seems to be turning out that way. I was kind of hoping some objects or themes would just naturally reveal themselves as I went along. This was an experiment after all. Now I can take what I’ve learned and try applying that to something new, something with more planning and purpose from the get-go.

I’m actually starting to think – after looking at this picture some more – that I shouldn’t fill the entirety of the background with the black designs. I kind of want to have some motion to the picture, if that actually makes any sense. It currently looks like it’s spreading like a virus, so maybe I’ll just add a few more edits and go with that. I still would like to add some extra color in there, I just have to figure out how I’m going to do it so it doesn’t stand out from the rest of the picture too much.

Alright, that’s going to be it from me today. It’s time for me to go find some interesting scenery to try and add my own unique touch to. Perhaps something from that video game I just can’t stop talking (or thinking) about, No Man’s Sky.
