Nintendo Fan Art – StarTropics: Day 218

NES StarTropics fan art (Complete) by Robert Chapman

It’s finished! My Nintendo fan art for StarTropics (one of my favorite games of all time) is complete. I think I did a good job representing the source material. This shot was shown during the end-credits after you finish the story in the game. It was a slide show displaying, in all it’s 8-bit glory, a bunch of important scenes from the game.

So I woke up this morning to find that my Internet was down. My router had a bright red light on it, telling me that something was terribly wrong. After trying to figure out what was going on (which is difficult without any Internet!) and after a couple router/modem restarts, I decided to leave for awhile. When I returned home hours later my net was back up and everything seemed fine. Then, about 4 or 5 hours later, it went down again, even though the lights on my router all looked A-OK. After a router/modem restart, it just wouldn’t connect. So, that’s where I’m at right now.

Perhaps it’s a sign of fate. Last night I stayed up working on my Patreon page and I added a goal that if I was to ever hit $200/month through Patreon, I would finally be able to get a new ISP with faster and more reliable service. I pray that day comes, because I swear every few months there’s some new problem with my Internet service that I have to deal with.

In case you’re wondering, I’m using good ‘ol Windows Notepad because I was afraid of losing my progress by typing it out in the browser window, and it vanishes or something. Hey, I’m just realizing now that I have Hockey Night in Canada coming on in about 40 minutes. I watch it through the CBC.ca website, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to! Hmmm I may have to comandeer (I can’t even look up how to spell that properly! Woe is me) someone’s cable television tonight.

So, I’ll post this as soon as my Internet service is back online. I also would like to figure out what I’ll be working on tomorrow. No doubt it’ll be another classic Nintendo piece of fan art. I have a few games in mind…
