New Ship: Day 299

Red Ship by Robert Chapman

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this new ship quite yet. It’s still very early on, but when I’m unsure about it, that usually means I don’t like it very much. It will likely go through a lot of changes in the coming days. However, tomorrow I’m going to be spending a whole lot of time putting together my 300th post, where I’ll look back on the last 100 days.

I’m going to keep this post brief, because the NHL Stanley Cup finals just went underway, and it’s difficult for me to concentrate at the moment! I’m sure you understand. So let me write a little bit about what I don’t like from this new drawing, and what I would like to change:

First off, I’m having a heck of a time getting all the angles down properly. It took the longest to get the light and dark bits decent enough so it doesn’t look funny. Then there’s the holes on the side there that make this look more like an underwater vehicle. I had some “wing-like bits” attached to the sides, but again I was having trouble making it look proper with the angles.

Alright, that’s it for my lazy post today. Time to go watch some hockey. I hope everyone’s having a fantastic Wednesday!
