This may be my favorite picture that I’ve taken so far. I really do love finding color in the world and taking pictures of that stuff, but there’s just something that catches my breath when I’m scrolling through my photos, trying to find which one I’m going to use for the day, and I stop on this one. Then I remove the color entirely and mess around just a little with the black level. It’s perfect

I’m definitely going to remember this photo the next time I want to draw some trees. I still have one that I’m working on right now, so I have to finish that up before I get too ahead of myself and start another. Not to mention that I’m about ready to get back to my webcomic and get a few more pages finished for episode 2! Soon 🙂

I also figured out today that I can just use the volume buttons on my tablet to snap photos, rather than the on-screen button. I know, I’m dumb. I bet everyone else knows this stuff. I always just stumble across this kind of thing by accident. Using a physical button will definitely come in handy when I do those weird shots where I can’t actually see what’s on the screen as I shoot.
