Happy Friday, peoples. Since I finished that chameleon yesterday, and that was all digital, I decided to start a new project on real paper! That’s right, pencils, pens, and an eraser (as you can see). My absolutely favorite game to play right now is Axiom Verge on Playstation 4. This game – and I’ve talked about this on here before – is a retro 8-bit/16-bit inspired side-scrolling adventure game. So, because I love it so gosh darn much, I decided to draw one of the alien characters, Elsenova.

Using SEO Tools: Day 243
I assumed that I was going to put a couple more hours into this guy today and get it all finished up, but that’s not at all what happened. I put an hour in, then took a break as I had some other things that needed to get done. I went right back at it after that and put another hour or so in, probably closer to two hours. Then Photoshop crashed on me. Which has only happened maybe once before in the past year or two. So I lost maybe 20 minutes of progress since I last saved. Lame!

Change of Pace / Chameleon: Day 238
I was really hoping to get this Chameleon’s leg done today, because as it looks right now, it’s hard to tell if I really did much since yesterday! Oh well, I put almost two hours into this today and my arm was actually starting to cramp up a bit. I think tomorrow I’ll try something new and do some relaxing doodles on paper.
Positivity and Opportunity: Day 237
Hey look! It’s that reptile again, and he’s still looking quite spiffy. Even though there are a few spots here and there that I’m not overly happy with, I’m already planning on going back, after I finish with the body, and fiddling with a few of the details to get it looking just the way I want him to. That’s the current plan anyways.
Webcomic Progress: Day 233
It’s funny, after about an hour of working on this webcomic I started to feel that this was going to be one of those projects I get discouraged with and possibly scrap, but an hour after that I fell in love with it. I look at it now and I’m amazed that I thought this wasn’t going to turn out very well. I mean, there’s still more work to do, and a few things I would like to edit, but I’m super satisfied with my progress on this.
