Slow Down: Day 294

My Spaceship by Robert Chapman

I swear, almost every single day I have to do a double take when I write out what day I’m on in the title. 294 already! I guess I should start thinking about what I’m doing for day 300. I mean, it’ll likely be a recap of what I’ve done over the past hundred days, but I still have to think about what I’ll talk about, and how the page layout will look. I can’t hardly imagine what I’ve even been doing for the past hundred days.

So, it seems my Internet issues are kind of sorted out. My ISP cranked down my net speeds so I would keep a solid connection, and so far it seems to have worked. Of course, now I’m paying for high speeds (though I never did get high speeds really), and now I’m paying the same but now I have incredibly slow speeds. However, for now at least, I’m happy that I have a solid connection. I’m able to listen to my music while I draw, post on time, and stay connected with everyone. Basically, stick to my routine that I’ve grown very used to.

Today, I added a whole bunch of new details and features to this picture that I’ve been working on. There’s a second spaceship getting blasted out of the sky. However, as it currently stands there isn’t any visible damage on that ship. This could change if I can figure out a way to portray damage well enough on that tiny ship. Other than that, we have a proper sky now. Also threw a planet in there too. I’m not positive that any of that is staying though. Because I’m a bit on the fence about whether it looks alright, personally. I threw in some more trees as well, then shaded some bits, and added some basic ripples to the water. I think that’s it!

What do you think I should add, remove, or edit? I’m always curious what ideas other people have. I’ve decided that I don’t want the picture to be too cluttered, but the right cliff there does look a little bare. Anyways, what do you think of what we have so far? I’m really thinking that this could be the style for that comic I’d like to make. You know, someday. I know I know! I’ve said that many times before. Just like my current net connection though; I need to slow down and take my time in order to make sure it’s the best comic book thing it can possibly be.

Everything looks fantastic Robert 🙂 glad you finally got your Internet issues sorted out!

    • Thanks, Brad! Yeah, so far so good. On Monday my Internet is going to back to the way it was though, and I’m going to try a new modem to see if that helps with the problems I was having.
