Day 24

What can I say about today’s picture? The day was cold and cloudy. I walked for awhile and really didn’t notice anything that stood out to me as something worth photographing. I met up with a friend and we were walking past a small tree by the side of the road, and I don’t know what it was exactly, but I decided to try taking one of those upside-down weird tree shots.

Took literally three photos, all from various sides. I opened the first one up, and it was this one you see above. “Perfect”, I said out aloud. “Well, that was easy.” Usually I take like 6-10 photographs of various things and when I get home I check to make sure there’s some decent details and that the overall image is clear (because my camera isn’t so great, as I say day after day).

I can’t wait to move over to Instagram in a second here to see what else I can do with this picture! Come on over and check out my stuff 🙂

Day 23

This big blue wall is pretty close to where I live, and it’s covered in pictures like this. I don’t think there’s anyone in town here that knows what they’re really doing when it comes to making graffiti. They’re just maybe kids that want to put their stamp on something. Even if that stamp is a swear word here or there, a middle finger, or an ugly face thing.

The blue on this wall is really nice though. I enhanced it a bit in Photoshop, as I usually tend to do with these pictures, and it just helps the color stand out a lot more.

I’ve used this wall previously for some artwork as well! Check it out.

Day 22

I wasn’t very confident that I’d find a decent photo out of the bunch that I took today. However, this one will definitely do! It was seriously lacking color to begin with, but I fixed that up nicely, I think.

There’s also a camera that I  saw online that I want to pick up, finally. I have the money, and it seems to be decent enough. I just have to walk down there and get it, but it’s quite a ways away. We’ll have to see if I can figure something out in the next day or so! I’m excited 🙂

Day 21

I really like today’s picture, but there are a few things that are bugging me a little bit; the grass in the bottom left, and the shadow in the bottom right (behind my cartoon weeblie!). I should have done a better job at that, but I honestly didn’t expect this particular photo to end up being the best of the bunch. There’s still too many interesting things about it to just toss it aside and pick another one.

Day 20

This may be my favorite picture that I’ve taken so far. I really do love finding color in the world and taking pictures of that stuff, but there’s just something that catches my breath when I’m scrolling through my photos, trying to find which one I’m going to use for the day, and I stop on this one. Then I remove the color entirely and mess around just a little with the black level. It’s perfect

Day 18

What. A. Boring. Day.

I took a walk to the grocery store and I was lucky enough to avoid any rain, but it was still wet and disgusting. I was trying to take photos on the way there and back. Everything was muddy, all the snow piles are super dirty, and it was just generally unpleasant walking around out there. I’m also trying way too hard to make every day’s photographs better than the last.

Quantity over quality! I have to keep that in mind. Some days I’ll have really interesting things to shoot, other days I’m taking pictures for the sake of taking pictures. Though, that being said, I’m still attempting to take interesting photos. I mean, something jumped out at me with this pile of old bricks and the plants entwined with this fence. I thought it would make a semi-interesting photograph 🙂
