Abstract Digital Painting: Day 228

Colorful Abstract Painting by Robert Chapman

So, Tuesday’s are labeled as “Abstract Day” on my schedule, so for about an hour I fiddled around with a couple colors and brushes via Photoshop and this abstract digital painting is what I came up with. I could of worked on it for another hour, but I have company coming over shortly and I seem to enjoy my time away from my artwork a lot more when I don’t have work sitting there, waiting for me to finish. So now that this post will be up and out of the way, it won’t be bothering me in the back of my mind.

I really do love painting these abstract pictures. The reason possibly being because of the “no rules” mentality that goes into it. Anything goes really. It definitely brings me back to being a kid where you just draw and don’t think about what you’re doing. There’s no right or wrong way to do it, you just pick some materials out and go crazy.

I probably could of added another color to this digital painting, yellow perhaps, but I’m satisfied with the progress I made today. I have a very special idea planned for tomorrow. So, I’m really looking forward to that…

The colours remind me of the end of earthbound when you fight the last boss I don’t know but that came to mind

    • Dude, my brain didn’t even click into that. That’s a great observation, Brad. Thanks for the comment.
