Ukulele Mario T-Shirts: Day 277

Ukulele Mario by Robert Chapman

Alright, Ukulele Mario is finished. I was going to draw that background that I started yesterday, but it wasn’t really turning out and so I added more detail to Mario himself today. I think he looks pretty fantastic, and a vast improvement over the original version. It was suggested to me the other day to try a maroon colored ukulele, mellow out the yellow on the frets, and add a fourth one.

Title-less: Day 276

Ukulele Mario by Robert Chapman

I only had maybe 20 minutes to do my drawing today, so I decided to get started on some Ukulele Mario edits. Some were suggested by my cousin, Eric. The guy that originally asked for the design. I really just wanted to create a scene for Mario to be in. As I mentioned yesterday, I like the idea of Mario being on stage moments away from playing a tune.

Okay, that’s it for me today! This is two days of slacking in a row. I’ll have to make sure I set aside a few hours to work on this tomorrow.

Ukulele Mario: Day 274

Ukulele Mario by Robert Chapman

Well, here’s Ukulele Mario. This image is 2000 x 2000 but Mario’s a bit smaller, and right in the center of the page. I feel the white space emphasizes that he’s on a stage of some sort. Bright lights, and all that. Perhaps not literal lights, but that was feel I wanted to present. So this image might be a moment before he reaches back for his Ukulele and entertains a crowd by flawlessly playing Imagine by John Lennon.

Professional Wrestling RPG: Day 230

Wrestling RPG concept by Robert Chapman

Alright, welcome to another #ThrowbackThursday. Today I’m not necessarily looking back at a classic game per se (though this image was greatly influenced by Tecmo World Wrestling on the NES), but rather I’m creating my own idea for an 8-bit professional wrestling role playing game. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this in a post on this website previously, but I definitely have shared my idea with my Patreon supporters.

Blaster Master Complete: Day 226

Blaster Master fan art by Robert Chapman

It’s finished! If you took a look at the schedule I posted yesterday, then you’ll notice that today, Sunday, is a day where I can do whatever I want as far as my daily post is concerned. So for today, I decided to spend a few hours finishing up this Blaster Master in-game drawing. I also painted in the title there and I think it turned out really well. That title graphic is a little bit in need of some contrast to help it stand out from the background, but it’s alright, I think. I’ll leave it alone.

Giant Blue Mint Cookie: Day 223

Blaster Master fan art by Robert Chapman

I was hoping to get a lot more done today, but this will have to suffice. I painted with my niece for an hour earlier today and got a line of the yellow-ish grass completed in my Blaster Master picture. That was pretty much it for today. She drew a giant blue mint cookie! She’s a fantastic artist and I love hanging out with her.

That’s about all I’m going to get done for creating artwork today. It is my birthday after all, so I’m pretty busy today. Tomorrow seems like it’ll be more of the same but I’ll try to squeeze in some drawing time in the AM.
