No Man’s Sky Pattern: Day 310

NMS Pattern

Hello! Today I show a piece of artwork I’ve been actually working on for a few days now. I’ve previously shared it over on Patreon, but now I’m ready to start posting my progress here. Even though I’m pretty far along, I still have a lot left to do. There’s the matter of figuring out what I’m going to do with the background color, finishing the clouds (possibly darkening them), and filling up the sky with a blue pattern.

Sprite Ship Complete: Day 302

Sprite Ship by Robert Chapman

Technically I could still add a whole bunch of minor details before I call this one completed, but I’ve been inspired to move on and do something else. That’s not to say this doesn’t look pretty badass, actually. I feel that the entire picture meshes well, and nothing stands out too much. I was afraid that adding a big ‘ol planet in the background there would detract from the ships. However, I feel it fits perfectly.

Lost Progress: Day 301

Sprite Ship by Robert Chapman

This isn’t the ship I was working on last time! Yeah, well somehow that other red ship went missing. Not quite sure how I worked on something for hours, saved web versions of the ship to upload to my website, and never once saved an original? Was I that distracted or something on day 299? I dunno. No matter! I’m not fretting in the least, because look at the new ship I’m making!

New Ship: Day 299

Red Ship by Robert Chapman

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this new ship quite yet. It’s still very early on, but when I’m unsure about it, that usually means I don’t like it very much. It will likely go through a lot of changes in the coming days. However, tomorrow I’m going to be spending a whole lot of time putting together my 300th post, where I’ll look back on the last 100 days.

Zero Battle Revisited: Day 297

Zero Battle Complete by Robert Chapman

Okay, let’s try this again. See, this is my second time trying to post this today. Am I having internet issues again? Nope. It’s just that every time I look at this picture I notice something else I want to add or change. So, then I erase the version I uploaded, go back to Photoshop, and do what I have to do, then upload it again. Now here we are again, for the second time. This isn’t even including the fact that I already posted this picture yesterday and claimed that it was finalized. However, I also said in the very same post that I would like to go back to it and make a few changes.

Zero Battle Complete: Day 296

Zero Battle Complete by Robert Chapman

Well, today I’m pretty excited to get this post… posted. I’m extremely happy with how this Zero Battle picture turned out. I’m sure I could spend another few days making changes and editing tiny details and whatever, but ultimately that wouldn’t really change the vision. Besides, I’m happy that my vision has been realized as it has. As usual, I’ll move right onto something new tomorrow. Although I am loving the science fiction genre, any suggestions for what I should try next?
