Emily and Me: Day 3

"Old Lines" drawing by Robert Chapman

Lots of fun drawing this with traditional pencils and paper this morning. Haven’t done that in years. Even used my pencil case from high-school. I woke up, took my supplies to my mom’s place, and worked on this while sipping my coffee.

My sister and her youngest daughter, Emily, came by for a visit. Emily and I drew together for an hour or so. She explained her plan for the creature she wanted to draw, and proceeded to follow through with every detail. Here’s what she came up with.

Yes! She loves drawing creatures and things just like me. It’s a wonderful feeling when I see so much of my style and technique in all her drawings.

Thanks for the comment, Crystal 🙂
